Plant Tissue Culture Introduction will cover media ingredients and preparation, explant selection sterilization, autoclaving, and sterilization of equipment, induction of explants, and subculturing of explants. Plant Tissue Culture Introduction is covered over a two-day period. Each class consists of two parts including a lecture followed by guided hands-on practice to help reinforce what you are learning.
Each student will be provided handouts with SOPs, protocols, and a FREE copy of Plants From Test Tubes, An Introduction to Micropropagation, 4th edition, one of the most helpful books to learn about plant tissue culture.
